Summer Camp group with costumed staff at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons

Summer and Day Camp Groups

Ontario’s first European community is an ideal setting to provide a fun learning experience for Cubs, Guides, Scouts, summer day-camps, and all other youth groups. Let our program staff work closely with your leaders to design a program that can result in the fulfillment of badges requirements, especially in reference to Aboriginal peoples and survival skills.

Learning about Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is made fun by involving your group in historical hands-on activities on the site.

Combine your tour of the site with in-depth workshops including:

- Corn bread tasting in the Cookhouse
- Medicinal teas in the Hospital
- Native games or Lacrosse
- Tool games in the Carpenter’s shop
- Blacksmithing
- Historic clothing activities
- Clay workshop
- Quill pen writing
- Waterway demonstration
- Fire starting demonstration

Overnight accommodations are available at the nearby Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, just a few minutes walk from Sainte-Marie.
